Not To Us

Today’s Reading – Psalms 115 – 116

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Why let the nations say, “Where is their God?” Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes. (Psalms 115:1-3 NLT)

Do I ever steal some of God’s glory? This psalm makes me think about it. We can steal God’s glory by taking credit for what He has done. By not recognizing that He has gifted us and that it is not our own talent or effort. Also, we steal God’s glory but not telling others the great things that He has done.

Application to me – I will evaluate my actions to be sure I am not stealing God’s glory in some way.
